Phra Kring Tripitaka Special Edition
Luang Phor Sakorn – Wat Nong Krab (BE 2544 / 2001)
The Phra Kring Tripitaka Special Edition, created by Luang Phor Sakorn of Wat Nong Krab in BE 2544 (2001), is regarded as one of the most important modern Phra Kring amulets produced in the lineage of Luang Pu Tim of Wat Lahan Rai. Issued in limited numbers and consecrated over an extended three-month period, this amulet embodies both profound Buddhist symbolism and exceptionally potent sacred materials.

Creation and Special Features
Luang Phor Sakorn formally named this series “Phra Kring Tripitaka”, referencing the Three Baskets of the Buddhist Canon (Tipiṭaka)—Vinaya, Sutta, and Abhidhamma—symbolizing complete Buddhist knowledge, discipline, and wisdom.
The large version of the amulet is particularly revered. Its hollow base is filled with:
-
Sacred Prai Kumarn powder inherited from the lineage of Luang Pu Tim
-
A Three-King Takrut, symbolizing supreme authority, protection, and balance of power
A smaller companion version, known as Phra Kring Noi Tripitaka, was also produced, featuring an inscribed base rather than internal fillings.
The consecration followed the strict ritual traditions of Luang Pu Tim, with nightly chanting and meditation ceremonies conducted continuously throughout the three-month period, ensuring deep spiritual empowerment rather than a single ceremonial event.
Sacred Metals and Lineage Materials
One of the defining strengths of this Phra Kring lies in its exceptional metal composition, which includes sacred remnants from historically significant Phra Kring amulets, such as:
-
Phra Kring Chinnabanchorn sacred material
-
Phra Kring Pramo – Luang Phor Reum, Wat Chuk Cher
-
Phra Kring Kao Kaew – Luang Pu Kaew Kesaro
-
Phra Kring – Luang Pu Kram, Wat Wang Wa
-
Phra Kring – Luang Pu Mon, Wat Nen Ta Mak
In addition, metal plates donated by revered monks from across Thailand were incorporated, all of which were themselves individually consecrated before being melted together. This created a unified sacred alloy charged through repeated ritual empowerment.
Luang Phor Sakorn himself stated that this amulet could be used as a substitute for the Phra Kring Chinnabanchorn, a claim that underscores its exceptional spiritual status.

Phra Kring Amulets – Historical Significance
The Phra Kring is among the most sacred and ancient forms of Thai Buddhist amulets. Traditionally associated with healing, protection, and prosperity, Phra Kring amulets often contain a small bell inside, symbolizing the sound of the Dharma and the awakening of wisdom.
Historically, Phra Kring amulets trace their origins to Mahāyāna Buddhist traditions, particularly those linked to Bhaisajyaguru, the Medicine Buddha. Over time, Thai masters adapted the form into Theravāda practice, emphasizing compassion, fortune, safety, and success in worldly affairs.
Authentic Phra Kring amulets are judged by:
-
The purity and lineage of their sacred materials
-
The depth and duration of consecration
-
The spiritual attainment of the monk who created them
By these standards, the Phra Kring Tripitaka ranks exceptionally high.
Miraculous Experiences and Reputation
The Phra Kring Tripitaka has accumulated numerous documented miraculous experiences, particularly in the areas of:
-
Metta Mahaniyom (compassion and charisma)
-
Wealth attraction and business success
-
Invincibility and protection from danger
-
General good fortune and stability in life
As a result, these amulets were reserved immediately upon release, and original temple-issued pieces are now increasingly rare in the collector market.
Luang Phor Sakorn – True Successor of Luang Pu Tim
Luang Phor Sakorn is widely recognized as a true spiritual successor to Luang Pu Tim, not only in lineage but in conduct, discipline, and mastery of Buddhist magic. Known for his humility and meticulous standards, he produced amulets only when the materials and timing were spiritually appropriate.
Each of his creations is intended to provide genuine benefit to the wearer, not merely symbolic value. For this reason, his amulets consistently demonstrate strong experiential results and enduring demand.
