Luang Phor Chuan
Luang Phor Chuan Katapunyo, now aged 80 has served the Buddhist faith for 53 years. He is a highly knowledgeable monk having learnt sacred sciences from many guru monks such as Luang Por Tae Kongtong of Wat Samngam, Luang Por Cham of Wat Takong, Luang Phor Kong of Wat Bangkaprom, Luang Phor Tah of Wat Paniangtak, Luang Phor Noi of Wat Dharmasala, etc.
Most of his life has been dedicated to educating people about Buddhism, creating schools and temples in rural areas, and in particular where locals have little access to higher education.
Even his current temple Wat Khaokaew, was once just a deserted ruin. He has spent years renovating this temple, after dreaming that he should do so. It now stands as one of the most beautiful temples in the province.

Actually Luang Phor Chuan has rarely created amulets, and those which he has, devotees have had to wait years. He simply has been too busy helping those in need.
It has been said that he never wanted to be famous, but whats more interesting is that he secretly created Guman Thong amulets for his teacher Luang Phor Tae to be given to worshippers at the temple.
Moreover he has refused more than once to be promoted to a higher rank, and as such it should be of no surprise that he is more than highly respected by locals, in fact he is considered to be a real monk. It should also be of no surprise that when he has released amulets they have been sold almost instantaneously.
Despite his efforts to remain low profile, it would appear that he was destined to be quite famous. Two of the biggest newspapers in Thailand the Thairut and Khaosod Newspapers gave prominence to a story about his sacred powers. He was actually shot by a thief several times, but none of the rounds harmed him. After this account was published he was revered by his disciples who now named him “the God of Bhotitong”.
This year when he announced that he was to create a series of amulets it became very big news in the media, devotees, amulet dealers and collectors scrambled to ensure that they received an allocation.
