Phra Somdej Pong Yanvilas
These Somdej amulets are often referred to as second generation pims, and not a lot is known about them even by experienced collectors:
The amulet is known as Phra Pong Yanvilas and was blessed by Luang Phor Daeng in BE 2513. These pims should not be confused with the first generation Somdej amulets also blessed by Luang Phor Daeng in BE 2513.
The amulets were actually created by three individuals to worship Luang Phor Daeng, namely
- Phra Bunsong, a disciple of LP Dang,
- Mr Jerm Promprasit
- Mr.Prasong Jermporn
All amulets were blessed by Luang Phor Daeng at a sacred ceremony at Wat Khao Bandai-It in BE 2513
Naturally this leads to much confusion amongst collectors who are unaware of these facts. This set of amulets are not quite as valuable as the first ''generation amulet'' but none the less they are still highly collectible in their own right and much sought after
These amulets are somtimes called second batch amulets. This in itself is often confusing because some of the pims in this series such as the Nangphya and Pitda can actualy be assumed as first batch amulets
There were a number of designs, namely
1. Pim Phra somdej
2. Pim Phra Nangphaya
3. Pra Pitda

Interestingly two mould makers were employed, Mr Ki and Mr Bung and this is often seen in the design of the pims. It is said that Mr. Bung’s mould was better, producing a clearer definition to the amulet.
Originally the amulets produced from Mr.Ki’s mould were sold at 200 baht each.(Those made by Mr.Bung’s mould were not identified)

In WWII, LP Daeng created and presented his PhaYants (magic clothes) and Takruts to Soldiers and people. When the Japanese troop landed in PraChuabKiriKhan Province which borders Petchburi, a small group of soldiers and patriotic people fought fearlessly, yet remained unharmed due to LP Daeng's amulets.
